An Instagram influencer from Dasuya in Hoshiarpur has landed in trouble for shooting a video while sitting on the bonnet of a moving SUV driven on Jalandhar-Jammu national highway.
The social media influences, Gauri Virdi, was celebrating achieving 1 million followers on Instagram holding golden coloured air ballons of ‘1’ and ‘M’.
While making an Instagram reel, Gauri Virdi started dancing, waving the golden ballons, while sitting on the bonnet of a moving SUV, flouting traffic rules. The reel went viral after it was shared on social media.

Soon, Dasuya police sprung into action and traced the vehicle from it’s registration number. “The Thar owner belonged to Usman Shahid village of Dasuya. We immediately took possession of the vehicle and brought it to the Dasuya police station. The vehicle has been impounded,” said Dasuya SHO Balwinder Singh.
He said a challan has been issued for various violations of the Motor Vehicle Act, including that of dangerous driving and further legal action will be taken after further investigation.
He said the young woman, Gauri Virdi, who is seen in the video, belongs to Dasuya and lives mostly in Chandigarh.
He said that no FIR has been lodged as yet in the case.
Meanwhile, the video has been removed from Instagram but Gauri’s photograph sitting on the bonnet of a parked vehicle having balloons placed on wind screen and another video in which she can be seen sitting on the bonnet of a parked vehicle are still there on her Instagram account.
