WhatsApp number for NRI grievances
The state government has launched a WhatsApp number (9056009884) for NRIs to report their grievances.
The complaints so received are forwarded to the departments concerned as well as the ADGP of the NRI wing of the state police for redressal. NRIs can visit nri.punjab.gov.in website for any information pertaining to the NRI police wing, state commission for NRIs and the NRI sabha.
Administrative Reforms and NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the NRI Affairs Department was providing facilities of countersigning/attestation of documents such as birth certificates, unavailability of birth certificates, late birth entry, police clearance, medical certificate, educational qualification certificate, driving licence, death certificate, marriage/divorce certificate, decree, adoption deed, affidavit, fingerprint and other certificates etc. of Punjabis living abroad.
