Chandigarh, July 20
Even as the police today eliminated two shooters involved in Moosewala’s killing, and the Delhi Police had nabbed three others, the sixth one, Deepak Mundi, has evaded arrest so far.
Mundi was in the Bolero module with three others — Priyavrat Fauji, Ankit and Keshav. The three were arrested from Gujarat and Delhi, but Mundi could not be traced.
It was suspected that Mundi was hiding with the Corolla car module members, Jagroop Rupa and Manpreet Kussa. However, these two were killed in an encounter at Bhakna village in Amritsar today. Mundi was not with them.
Mundi had reportedly gone to Gujarat with Fauji and others, but had got separated from them a day before June 19 when the Delhi Police caught Fauji and Keshav. Reports said he was later with Ankit for a few days, but he again got separated from him before Ankit’s arrest in Delhi on July 4. The police was hoping since then that he could be with Rupa and Manu, but he was not found with them today.
