Widow of man who died of electrocution in Abohar receives ~1L financial aid

In the wake of the death of Harinder Singh, a resident of Jhurar Khera village in Abohar, due to electrocution by a transformer, Deputy Commissioner Dr Senu Duggal and Balluana MLA Amandeep Singh Goldy Musafir today handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to the wife of the deceased.

The Deputy commissioner said while the grief has been shared with the family members of the deceased, financial assistance has been provided by the Punjab government. She said along with this, action has also been initiated regarding the payment of pension to the widow and children. The DC added that the officials concerned have been directed to fill out the pension forms of the family members.

Harinder Singh got electrocuted after he climbed atop a transformer in Jhurar Khera village to fix a fuse wire following a power outage.
