Minister Anmol Gagan Maan today directed officials of the Labour Department to organise a one-day camp every week to register construction workers.

Maan emphasised the significant contribution of construction workers to the state’s development and the need to maximise their benefits from various welfare schemes.

The minister instructed senior officials to amend the conditions for availing welfare schemes, making it easier for construction workers to access them. She also addressed the issue of skilled workers’ shortage in Punjab. She ordered the preparation of data related to skilled workers within a week.
