Chandigarh, January 20

A woman accused of kidnapping her son has been granted bail by the High Court.

Justice Alka Sarin observed there was a matrimonial dispute between the petitioner-mother and her husband. The FIR was lodged by her mother-in-law alleging that the petitioner kidnapped her grandson.

“There seems to be a serious matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and her husband,” Justice Sarin observed. Without commenting on the merits of the case, Justice Sarin added the court deemed it to be a fit case to grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner. —
