The police have booked Bachan Kaur, a resident of Shahmadar, Patti, for using forged documents to get a government job on compassionate grounds.

The accused mentioned the name of her father as Gurnam Singh against Fagga Singh, who was her

real father.

The facts came to light on the complaint of Balwinder Kaur Bindo.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Gurmeet Singh said a case under Section 419 and 420 of the IPC had been registered against Bachan.
