A five-year-old girl and her mother died in a road accident near Jhandu Wala village in Ferozepur district on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as, Nimrat Kaur and her mother Sukhmeet Kaur, residents of Davindra Road in Malout, were returning to Malout along with their family members when the car they were travelling in collided with another car. Sukhmeet’s husband Gurjeet Singh has suffered multiple injuries.

In another incident, seven people got injured in a head-on collision between a Punjab Roadways bus and a pick-up vehicle near Udekaran village on Muktsar-Kotkapura Road reportedly due to dense fog today morning.
