Double standards exposed: Khaira
Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira highlighted how an officer, accused of being involved in transfer of prime land in Mohali to a private entity, was re-employed by the AAP government. “Last year, you raised slogans against the minister and demanded inquiry. How come you have recruited a person you then accused of being involved in the deal,” he asked Finance Minister Harpal Cheema.
AAP legislator takes on own government
During Zero Hour, AAP MLA Amritpal Singh Sukhanand took on his own party government. “When you were in the Opposition, you would raise hands and the ruling party would not allow you to speak. Akalis move amendments
SAD MLAs Manpreet Singh Aiyali, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi and Ganieve Kaur Majithia moved the House for some amendments to the motion of thanks. They wanted the prevailing law and order situation, regularisation of jobs of contract employees, restoration of old pension schemes for government employees, etc. be included in the motion. Speaker brought these amendments for a voice vote, but these were rejected. CM Mann, however, told Aiyali restoration of old pension scheme was under consideration.
