Youth arrested for creating 350 fake IDs
Hanumangarh police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Pramod alias Piku Nayak, from Rawatsar for creating over 350 fake Instagram accounts and sharing pornographic videos of women and children to earn US dollars. The arrest was made after a detailed investigation by the police, led by Superintendent of Police Arshad Ali.
Pramod, who runs a shop named Shiv Tarpaulin Bhandar in Rawatsar, was found with a laptop and five mobile phones, including an mobile.
The devices contained numerous explicit videos and screenshots of payments he received for sharing inappropriate content through Instagram and Telegram.
Police discovered evidence of Pramod earning about Rs 1.5 lakh through the sharing of the videos. He had been operating this illegal activity for some time, using fake identities to avoid detection. During questioning, Pramod revealed that he had created 300 to 350 fake Instagram IDs, through which he distributed pornographic content and received payments in foreign currency.
Pramod has been booked under the relevant sections of the BNS Act and IT Act. The cyber team is continuing to analyse his devices for further evidence of his activities.
