Sriganganagar: Youth arrested for stealing Aadhaar, PAN card data

Central intelligence agencies conducted a raid at a village in Sriganganagar near Abohar and arrested a youth who had allegedly been stealing data from the Central Government institutions and various private banks and selling it to foreign countries.
The police said Amit, a resident of Chak 49-F village near Indo-Pak border, has been arrested. Three mobile phones, one laptop, one computer, two pen drives, five hard disks and four SSD cards were recovered from him.
He used to steal data on a Telegram channel and sell it. In exchange, he used to get his payment in cryptocurrency, which he converted into Indian rupees through Binance.
The police said till now the suspect had made transactions worth Rs 1.11 lakh. He allegedly had data of foreign citizens too. All the data is being analysed.
Central agencies sleuths have reached Sriganganagar to supervise the action.
