A 19-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his locked car parked near a ghee factory on Tuesday. Preliminary investigation into the case has indicated that he might have died due to leakage in a carbon monoxide cylinder that he was carrying in his car on Abohar-Malout stretch of the National Highway-10.

According to sources, kin of Waris Kalra of Malout suspect that he might had been murdered. The police said inquest proceedings had been initiated under Section 174 of the CrPC and other aspects would be examined after getting detailed post-mortem report. — OC
