Youth held for backing gangster on social media

Mohali: The police on Thursday arrested a youth for allegedly promoting gangsters and weapons on the social media. The accused, Gurnam Singh alias Kala alias Romani, is a resident of Dasuya in Hoshiarpur. The police have recovered a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from his possession. Varinderpal Singh, AIG, said the accused was produced before a Mohali court that remanded him to judicial custody till February 20. tns
