Youth, paramour die by suicide
Muktsar, September 15
A youth and a married woman allegedly died by suicide by consuming a poisonous substance at Bhundar village here. The deceased were reportedly having an affair. Their bodies were recovered this morning from the fields. An empty bottle of pesticide and a motorcycle were recovered from them.
They have been identified as 24-year-old Sukhpreet Singh and 26-year-old Charanjit Kaur of Langeana village in Moga district. The police said the duo was missing since last morning. They had tried to end their lives by jumping into a canal a few days ago, the police said. An investigation is under way. — TNS
