He said five other youths also boarded the rearmost coach of the train, in which he was sitting. He said the youths looked suspicious, so he made a call to his friend to share his fears. The victim said when the train approached the Panjkosi station, the youths attacked him, snatched his phone and broke it.

He said the miscreants then beat him up and robbed him of Rs 5,000. After seeing the gold ring he was wearing on his hand, they tried to remove it. When the ring did not come off, they tried to locate some sharp object so that they could cut his finger to remove the ring. He said they told him that if he did not give the ring voluntarily, they would throw him out of the moving train and continue to beat him.
