Brahma Kumaris’ top functionary Brijmohan Bhai passes away
After the symbolic pilgrimage to the four dhams, he will be brought to Shantivan; cremation to be held on October 12
Brijmohan Bhai, secretary-general of the Brahma Kumaris — regarded as a pillar of the organisation, which has about 6,000 centres worldwide — passed away on Thursday.
Organisation sources stated that his health had been poor since January. Initially, he received treatment in Ahmedabad and at the Global Hospital in Mount Abu. Later, he was recuperating at the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Delhi.
Even during his illness, he remained in a spiritually awakened state and regularly attended the morning discourses. However, on October 8, his health suddenly deteriorated and he was admitted to a hospital in Manesar.
His body will be kept at ORC till 5 pm on October 10 for final darshan. Following this, it will be transported to Pandav Bhawan, Mt Abu, Rajasthan. On Saturday, his body will be placed in the History Hall of Pandav Bhawan for final respects.
On October 12, after the symbolic pilgrimage to the four dhams, he will be brought to Shantivan, Abu Road, where — following a tribute ceremony — the procession to Muktidham (the cremation ground) will begin at 4 pm.
