Almost after five months, local government schools re-opened with a thin attendance today morning. The UT Administration had announced to open local schools for offline classes. The students were allowed to attend offline classes only after getting approval letter for the parents.
“As many as 4,000 students (which is nearly 10 per cent of the total enrolled) of classes IX to XII attended school today,” said DPI Schools.
Students, attended offline classes from schools while following Covid protocols. On other hand, private schools continue to teach students online. The Independent School Association, Chandigarh, had decided that the schools would be open only if more than 50 per cent of parents were willing to send their wards for offline classes. Sources claimed that not many parents were interested in sending their wards to schools for offline classes.
