54th KVS Regional Sports Meet inaugurated at KV, ITBP, Dehradun

The 54th KVS Regional Sports Meet was inaugurated by the participants with a solemn oath taking at the school. The ceremony commenced with a mellifluous welcome song, followed by the formal green welcome. Chief guest Shivlal, Commandant (Engg), ITBP, Dehradun, was welcomed by Principal Sanjay Kumar. A beautiful cultural programme was presented by students. A special presentation was staged by budding yogis of Shift 1, articulating well defined physical movements along with the divine rendition of ‘Shiv Tandav Stotram’ in which the chief guest had a dignified presence. The chief guest propelled the enthusiasm of the participants and introduced the importance of sports. The chief guest announced the opening of the sports meet. The yoga session and the Garhwali dance performance mesmerised the audience. The programme concluded with an impressive vote of thanks by Payal Lal, Vice-Principal, Shift 1. An exciting presentation was given by students in the inaugural match (U-17) Babketball, when the spectators witnessed the victory of KV, ITBP. KV, ITBP, students won the match by defeating KV, Haldwani, team by 44-11. The programme was successfully conducted and coordinated by Devinder Singh and Veerpaul Kaur. All staff members played an instrumental role in the smooth execution of the event.
