As many as 60 NSS volunteers of GSSS Dhaneta, Hamirpur, planted saplings of various plant species, including herbal, ornamental and fruit plants, within the campus and its periphery. This initiative aimed to support the 'Ek Ped Maan Ke Naam' campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The volunteers pledged to plant more trees to make the planet greener and healthier. Principal Raj Kumar Singh motivated them to serve nature, quoting Margaret Thatcher's words, “No generation has a freehold on this earth. All we have is a life tenancy - with a full repairing lease”. NSS Programme Officers Suman Bala and Rakesh Chand, along with teachers Mukesh Kumar, Pushpender and Rajni Bala guided the volunteers in nurturing the plants to ensure their survival.
