A man in Russia spent 20 years to build his dream house from scratch, using materials found in nature.

Pavel Gatsoev of Verkhniy Biragzang “didn’t have money to build a brick house” so he “decided to make it out of stone”. The house is mostly made of stones that he collected from a nearby river.

“You don’t have to pay for it, here you can collect as many stones as you want and build,” Gatsoev said.

“I don’t have money, if I had, then I would also a build a brick house.”

Gatsoev and his wife Svetlana also live a self-sufficient lifestyle. They grow food, raise cows and make cheese.
