Summer. A single word that seems to hold all the hope in the world. A word, which seems to be oozing warmth itself.

Summer is the season children and adults, alike, like to sit back and relax. Summer is that time of the year when nothing is impossible, and time is abundant. Every year, the highlight of summer for everyone is travelling to new places.

But, due to the pandemic, this hasn’t been possible for the past two years now. However, throughout the year, nature doesn’t cease to amaze us, making staying at home, much better than travelling in these uncertain times.

Summertime may not have been as exciting as expected for the past two years but, it sure was extremely fun! Luckily, this year, we were even granted two extra weeks of holidays due to the sweltering heat.

For me, summer starts with a blast and ends with a party! My brother’s birthday coincides with the ending of the holidays and we have a ton of fun!

Summers at home can even be made exciting by indulging in new activities or engaging in new hobbies with our families. My family and I spent our summer painting bottles, making soaps at home, and colouring mandalas!

Finally, I would like to say that in the past year and a half, I have had more fun than I would’ve expected from under normal conditions. Hopefully, we’ll be able to return to visiting new places and having fun with our families by next summer.
