Akal Academy, Holi, Barara
The academy, under the patronage of the Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, organised an anti-drug awareness programme. Students from Government School, Dulyani, participated in the programme. Capt NS Randhawa, Praveen, and Inderpreet Singh described addiction as poison in families and said, “We should understand our responsibility and make the society aware against it.” School Principal Jasmeet Kaur thanked the guests and encouraged the parents to connect their children with ‘Naam-Bani’ and motivate them to stay away from drugs. Balwinder Singh, sarpanch, Holi village, Jagmal and Richa Goyal, teachers of Government School, Dulyani, were present in the seminar. Jasmeet Kaur recited a poem related to the ill-effects of drugs. A rally was taken out in Holi village to make people aware of the anti-drug campaign. The students and teachers of the school participated in the rally. And people were administered oath not to consume drugs. The villagers fully cooperated in the rally.
