AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, students visit Archaeological Museum

To enhance historical awareness and promote experiential learning, students of Class VI of the school visited the Archaeological Museum, Ropar. The visit was organised as part of the school’s educational tour programme aimed at providing students with first-hand exposure to India’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage. The museum, renowned for its extensive collection of artefacts from the Harappan civilisation to the medieval period, captivated the students’ interest. Under the guidance of museum staff and school faculty, the students explored various galleries showcasing pottery, coins, tools, sculptures, and inscriptions. Special emphasis was given to the Harappan Gallery, where students learnt about the ancient settlement at Ropar and its significance in the Indus Valley Civilisation. Principal Ritu Bali, expressed appreciation for the museum’s efforts in preserving history and fostering education.
