AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali, celebrates Earth Day

The school celebrated Earth Day in a unique style. A special assembly was organised to celebrate the Earth Day. Students of Shakespeare House highlighted the significance of the day and presented a beautiful poem showcasing their love for Mother Earth. The assembly concluded with the national anthem sung in unison. Events were held wing wise. The pre-primary students celebrated Green Colour Day, where students came dressed in green costumes with green food in their tiffin. They participated in various fun-filled and experiential activities. The primary wing students participated in literary activities like declamation and poetry recitation. Students of Class VI took a virtual tour to explore the recycling units. Classes VII and VIII participated in an environmental quiz and took a pledge to conserve the planet. Classes IX to XII showcased their support by pledging to recycle, reuse and reduce. Associate Director Parnika Singh and Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla advised the students to become responsible citizens and do their bit to save the environment.
