On World No Tobacco Day, the school organised a series of awareness programmes to highlight the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. The event witnessed active participation from NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) cadets, who took the lead in spreading awareness through various impactful activities. School Principal Bindu stated that the cadets conducted awareness rallies both on the school campus and in surrounding localities, emphasising the dangers of tobacco use through slogans and posters. The rally was flagged off by Vice-Principal Harpreet Singh. At several key locations in Nalagarh, the cadets presented street plays (nukkad nataks), songs, and dances to depict the adverse effects of tobacco. During the event, both NSS and NCC cadets took a pledge to abstain from tobacco use and to inform others about its harmful consequences. The aim of the initiative was to inspire youth to lead a tobacco-free life and make responsible choices for a healthier future. School Director Prem Lata Joshi mentioned that special workshops were also organised where cadets discussed tobacco-related diseases and preventive measures. Through these efforts, the cadets conveyed a strong message against tobacco and raised awareness about the serious health risks associated with its use. Both Director Prem Lata Joshi and Principal Bindu emphasised that students are the future of the nation.
