A three-hour English language workshop on, ‘Nurturing fluent English speakers’ was held by resource person Inderjit Kaur from Graffiti Learning Solutions at the school. Inderjit discussed about the challenges of speaking English and the activity-based process to overcome the challenges. She stressed on vocabulary as the strongest pillar of language learning. Inderjit involved the teachers in interactive activities which were performed in groups. She stressed on phonics and pronunciation in order to speak the language correctly. Again this was demonstrated in different activities. Director of the school K Singh appreciated the workshop session. Inderjit Kaur brought it down to a very practical level where even teachers of different subjects also understood the concepts discussed and practised in the session.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
