Swaraj Public School, Damla, celebrated its annual function ‘Khirki’. The theme ‘Khirki’, which symbolises acceptance, compassion, opportunity and creativity, was chosen to emphasise the importance of opening windows to new ideas, perspectives and experiences. The occasion marked the birth anniversary of Mata Swaraj Devi, a pioneer in promoting education and knowledge. Students showcased their talents through various cultural performances, including laavni, Haryanvi dance, yoga and bhangra. A special choreography on women empowerment and acid attack was the centrepiece of the event, highlighting the school’s focus on social awareness and sensitivity. Chairman Ashok Kumar praised the school’s efforts in education, emphasising the importance of staying rooted in traditions while aiming for greater heights. Principal Jyoti Nagpal Sethi shared the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the students throughout the year. Director Shashi Bathla and Manager Anil Kumar awarded the students for their outstanding performances in academics, eloquence, and state-level sports achievements. Cash prizes and trophies totalling Rs 5,100 were distributed to the winners.
