An in-house workshop on ‘Inclusive Education’ was held for the staff at the school. The main objective of the workshop was to focus on identifying and interventions in implementing inclusion of children with special needs in the classroom with the other children. The workshop also aimed to provide a platform to the teachers to express their viewpoints and follow the best practices for the benefit of the students. The teachers were also provided with the understanding various disabilities along with their screening and identification, eg learning disabilities. autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities, visual impairment and sensory disabilities. The session proved to be informative enhanced learning of the facilitators. Teachers learnt to identify the children with special needs, techniques and ways of responding to the needs of all children specially who have learning problems and behaviour issues. The workshop empowered the teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to create an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, respected, and supported in their unique learning journey.
