Auckland boys qualify for state-level chess c'ship

Students Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta of Auckland House School Boys, Shimla, qualified for the State-Level Chess Championship after excelling at the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025. Jayesh won the gold medal in the Under-13 category, while Samarth secured the silver medal in the Under-17 category, competing against nearly 100 participants. Their qualification reflects their sharp intellect and hard work. The school wishes them continued success at the state level.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
