An activity, “Compost from plant waste”, was organised for the students of Class XI (Science) on the school campus. Twenty-eight students, along with their teacher, enthusiastically participated. A pit was dug on the school grounds where students collected leaves and covered the pit with soil. They were informed that the process would transform the leaves into valuable compost. The initiative was a part of the Environment Education Programme of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh. Principal Sanjeev Kumar Sharma appreciated the efforts of all students and teachers.
