As per the guidelines of the Environment Education Programme of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), Chandigarh, World Wetland Day was organised in the school. DAV College, Jalandhar, served as the nodal agency for DAV schools in Punjab. To instil the importance of waste reduction and reuse in young minds, the school organised a creative ‘Best out of waste’ activity for Class IV students. Students were asked to bring any waste material from home. In the activity room, they unleashed their creativity and transformed these discarded items into a variety of unique and imaginative objects. They shared the message that not all discarded items are waste; we can create many important things from them. Students brought used bottles or containers from their homes. They shared the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle.
