Students of the school bagged medals at the District Athletic Championship 2024, held at the GMADA Sports Complex, Sector 78, Mohali. Gaganpreet Kaur (Class IV) was awarded Best Athlete in the U-10 age group for her remarkable performance in the long jump and 60m race. Gold medallists are Gaganpreet Kaur (Class IV) – long jump, Yakshit Dhiman (Class II) – long jump, Bhumika Sharma (Class IX) – high jump, and Namanpreet Kaur (Class VIII) – high jump. Silver medallists are Aditya Kumar (Class V) – long jump, Priyanshu (Class VIII) – 80m hurdles, Avneet Kaur (Class IX) – high jump, and Manjot Kaur (Class VII) – high jump. Bronze medallists are Gaganpreet Kaur (Class IV) – 60m race, Taranveer Singh (Class VIII) – 100m race and long jump, Bhumika Sharma (Class IX) – long jump, Preetpal Singh (Class VIII) – 80m hurdles, and Gurleen Kaur (Class IX) – high jump.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
