Baby Convent School, Banur, hosted a declamation competition for students of classes IV to IX. The event aimed to hone students' public speaking skills, confidence and critical thinking. Students from junior (IV-VI) and senior (VII-IX) categories participated, presenting their views on various topics. The event saw enthusiastic participation and impressive performances. The Principal encouraged students to speak their minds and showcase their talents. "The competition was a wonderful experience for our students, helping them overcome stage fear and build confidence," said the Principal, urging students to continue honing their skills. The event was a huge success, with students delivering impressive performances.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
