The school hosted its much-awaited Annual Parents’ Day 2024, featuring the theatrical showcase ‘Dastaan-e-Bharat’, a vibrant celebration of India’s literary and cultural heritage. The event showcased students’ theatrical talents, bringing to life beloved characters from Indian literature and mythology in a performance filled with humour, moments of wisdom and resolution. The chief guests for the day were Madhukar Malhotra, honorary secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra, and Vineeta Arora, Director (Education) and Senior Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. The highlight of the celebration was the theatrical production, which transported the audience into the heart of Indian folklore and mythology. ‘Narada Muni’ served as the thread tying the narrative together, guiding the audience through a series of events. Swami, the mischievous yet endearing protagonist of Malgudi Days, added an element of childlike curiosity. Through a sequence of misunderstandings, clever exchanges, and surprising alliances, the play seamlessly blended comedy with deep-rooted lessons, leaving the audience both entertained and inspired.
