The school celebrated Baisakhi with enthusiasm. The celebration began with a solemn prayer, invoking gratitude and blessings for the harvest season. Adding a spiritual essence to the occasion, students presented a ‘shabad’, “Vaisakh Bhala Sakha Vaes Kare”, reflecting the divine significance of the month of Vaisakh in Sikhism. The programme continued with a thought of the day and pledge, focusing on unity, gratitude, and the invaluable contribution of farmers. A Punjabi speech and a poem by students beautifully highlighted the cultural and historical significance of the festival. Meenakshi addressed the gathering, encouraging students to stay connected with their roots through such meaningful celebrations. The pre-primary wing added further colour to the event as tiny tots engaged in hands-on activities like thumb painting, grain pasting, and colouring, creatively celebrating the harvest season. Meanwhile, students of classes I and II expressed their festive spirit through a colourful poster-making activity, which was displayed on the bulletin boards, adding to the visual charm of the celebration.
