Students of classes VIII and IX of the school visited the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Institute of Microbial Technology (CSIR-IMTECH), Sector 39, Chandigarh, as part of the school’s industrial outreach programme. The educational visit included a guided tour of the research facilities, laboratories, and an interactive session with the scientists working at the institute. The visit provided them with an invaluable opportunity to see practical applications of their theoretical knowledge as they have been introduced to various aspects of microbiology as part of their science curriculum. The students were excited to see how an electron microscope works, and were amazed to observe various techniques like ultramicroscopy and fluorescent light microscopy used by researchers to view and study the vibrant world of microorganisms.
