Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh hosts Technovation

The school hosted Technovation 2025, its annual inter-school STEAM — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics — Innovation Challenge, under the aegis of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra. The two-day event brought together talented students from leading schools across the region to compete in a series of challenges designed to spark creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The events took place under two categories — Designathon and BotCrux. Designathon included three challenges — DesignQuest, TechFlixa and Pitch2Win, while BotCrux had two challenges — BotRace and Mirror Minds. The event was presided over by chief guest Vineeta Arora, Director (Education)-cum-Sr Principal of school Kendra. The two-day event began with Principal of the school Inderpreet Kaur welcoming the teams, and exhorting them to unleash their creativity and divergent thinking during the inter-school STEAM innovation challenge. The closing ceremony comprised an electrifying musical medley and a thought-provoking dance performance on the theme ‘Man Machine and Harmony’. It witnessed the felicitation of winners and participating teams. The coveted Tech Titans Award for Best School was conferred upon KBDAV Sr Sec Public School. The winners of Designathon were Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, and St Kabir Public School, at the first, second and third places, respectively. Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, KBDAV Sr Sec Public School and Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, bagged the first, second and third positions in BotCrux, respectively. The winners of DesignQuest, Bot Race and Mirror Minds were Delhi Public School, KBDAV Sr Sec Public School and Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, respectively. The school won the top spot in TechFlix and Pitch2Win challenges.
