The school observed ‘Poshan Pakhwada’ as part of the Union Government’s Poshan Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission). To promote this vision, students from classes I to VIII actively participated in SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) activities. Younger students brought healthy snacks and spoke about their nutritional value, middle school students prepared wholesome sandwiches, and senior students created visually appealing and nutrition-packed salads using fruits, sprouts, and vegetables. In continuation of the health and nutrition theme, the school also observed World Liver Day through a special morning assembly. The session focused on raising awareness about the liver’s vital functions, such as detoxification, metabolism, and nutrient storage. Students were also educated about the harmful effects of excessive junk food consumption. To extend the initiative beyond the assembly, Principal Inderpreet Kaur guided all science teachers to conduct class-specific awareness discussions. These sessions were carefully tailored to each age group — classes III and IV focused on balanced diets and healthy eating habits; classes V and VI explored traditional and local foods like ‘Shree Anna’ and their nutritional significance; while classes VII to X delved into the importance of hygiene in food preparation, storage, and consumption.
