The school observed the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas with deep reverence. The celebrations included activities like writing letters of gratitude to the brave soldiers, a visit to the War Memorial, Chandigarh, and a special assembly conducted by the Human Excellence Cell – Sanskara Club of the school. In order to instil a sense of respect and national pride in our students, and in a humble effort to bridge the gap between the civilians and the military, the students of classes V-IX wrote letters, messages and cards for the men and women in uniform, expressing their gratitude and solidarity. The letters were shared with officials of the Western Command. In turn, a short film, featuring our students’ contributions, was played in the army auditorium, and the letters and cards have been displayed in various unit libraries and notice boards of Sainik institutions. Students of Class VI visited the War Memorial in Chandigarh to pay their respects to the martyred soldiers. A special assembly was conducted for classes I to IX to mark the occasion with a series of patriotic performances. Principal Inderpreet Kaur emphasised the significance of celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas.
