The Department of Neurology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) hosted the 16th Regional Brain Bee Quiz in collaboration with the Indian Brain Bee, International Brain Bee, and the Society for Neuroscience (SFN). The competition, designed for Class XI students, is a live question-and-answer contest that tests participants’ knowledge of neuroscience. The Brain Bee Quiz is a three-tiered event, comprising regional, national, and international levels, where young scholars from around the world compete to demonstrate their expertise in various aspects of neuroscience. Two students from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, Mansi Tiwari and Vrinda Salaria, both students of Class XI (Medical), had qualified for the regional level of the competition. Mansi Tiwari emerged as the first runner-up and will represent the region at the national level, to be held in Chandigarh in May 2025. Principal Gulshan Kaur congratulated the students and Dr Shobha Gupta, their mentor teacher, on the outstanding achievement.
