To tackle plastic waste pollution from every house and the surrounding areas and using that trash creatively for school beautification, the Interact Club “Prayas ek koshish” of the school launched its monthly environmental initiative, “Trash to Treasure”. The first drive was successfully got executed with the students of all classes. The initiative will encourage students to practice sustainability and to have a cleaner environment by bringing plastic bottles filled with used plastic bags to the school. To foster environmental responsibility and engage the entire student body, the school has instituted this activity as a recurring activity to be held on the 7th of every month. As an incentive to promote participation, each student will receive one eco-friendly pencil in exchange for every plastic-filled bottle donated by them. On the first day of collection, around 724 bottles filled with used plastic bags were collected. They were used to make three benches around shady trees, and one floor decoration was created in the school premises.
