The festival of harvest was celebrated with utmost zeal and enthusiasm at the school. The mood on the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. Poems, folk songs and dance added the festive spirit in everyone and very well depicted the significance of the festival. The students and teachers, dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, sang songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab. Groundnuts, popcorns, etc, were distributed among the students. The students showed their innovative and artistic sides by making kites of vibrant and glittering colours. The wood crackled and burned, the fire blazed high and bonfire was created. President of the school Manav Singla explained the importance of following the path of universal brotherhood and peace and wished everyone ‘Happy Lohri’. He also encouraged each one to value their cultural heritage.
