A CBSE workshop on life skills was conducted at Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh. The resource persons were Manjeet Jauhar, Former Principal of Kundan International School, and Dr Seema Biji, Principal of Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27A, Chandigarh. The workshop was attended by 60 staff members of the school. The day-long programme comprised three sessions. The first, "Perspective Building on Life Skills," introduced teachers to the social, emotional, and cognitive dimensions of life skills while elaborating on the ten core skills defined by WHO. The second, "Transacting Life Skills," demonstrated classroom strategies through storytelling, role plays, theatre, and quizzes, encouraging educators to reflect on the values embedded in them. The final session, "Familiarisation with Life Skills through Activities," focused on self-analysis, interactive participation, and collaborative lesson plan preparation. Principal Inderpreet Kaur thanked the resource persons for their valuable insights.
