The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday ordered a 20 per cent reduction in tuition fees in all non-government aided schools in West Bengal during the coronavirus pandemic.

The order by a division bench came on a Public Interest Litigation filed by a guardians’ forum of 145 educational institutions. The High Court directed private schools not to charge fees under the non-academic head.

According to reports, the court also formed a three-member committee to look into all fee-related grievances. — IANS
