The workshop reflected CBSE's ongoing commitment to strengthening school-based mental health frameworks in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The one-day programme placed strong emphasis on developing socio-emotional competencies among learners, equipping teachers to recognise early behavioural indicators and fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment. Through engaging discussions, research-based strategies and reflective practice, participants explored ways to enhance student well-being, resilience, mindfulness and emotional regulation within classroom settings. The school was privileged to host two distinguished CBSE resource persons - Sonali Nelson, Vice-Principal, Baptist School, Sector 45-D, Chandigarh, and Yesha Sharma, Principal, St Soldier Smart School, Chunni Kalan, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Both experts shared deep pedagogical insights and practical frameworks that educators can integrate into school systems to promote holistic well-being and optimise student learning outcomes. Principal Anupam Grewal welcomed the resource persons and participating educators, emphasising that mental health and emotional wellness are foundational pillars of quality education. She highlighted the significance of strengthening the psychosocial ecosystem of schools to ensure that every child feels connected, valued, and supported. Across the sessions, teachers engaged in collaborative activities and discussions on stress management, empathetic communication, positive classroom culture, early intervention techniques and the importance of integrating well-being practices into everyday teaching-learning processes.
