The academy celebrated the Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev. The event began with a ‘nagar kirtan’ around the school premises, a vibrant procession led by the Panj Piyare, embodying the Sikh spirit of humility, unity, and reverence. The sight of students and staff walking together in devotion created an atmosphere of spiritual harmony and reverence. After that a mass recitation of the Japji Sahib ‘path’ was conducted, with students and teachers, joining in unison to chant the prayer. Adding to the celebratory spirit, students performed soulful renditions of ‘shabad kirtan’. The programme also featured poetry recitations and speeches by students, who spoke passionately about the life and principles of Guru Nanak Dev. Their words highlighted the Guru’s emphasis on equality, service, and compassion. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt ‘ardas’ and distribution of ‘parshad’.
