The Kindergarten Sports Day at the school was held with enthusiasm. It was fun day focusing on promoting physical activity and a healthy competition. The event began with the welcome of chief guest Arjuna Awardee Anjum Moudgil, following which Principal Sister Sefali addressed the gathering. Anjum Moudgil declared the Sports Meet open by releasing balloons to symbolise the free spirit of a child, while the students of Upper Kindergarten marched with the squad flags. Next was a prayer dance, titled “Little Sports Emissary”, and “Life’s Endless Cycle” by UKG, which included yoga asnas, rhythm of cymbals and tambourine. The “Garden of Love” was a rhythmic display by students of Nursery. This was followed by the UKG sports events. Students of Lower Kindergarten performed the “Eco Drill” and danced on the beats of Punjabi songs. Thereafter, Nursery and LKG students took part in the sports event. The pre-primary event drew to a close with the parents’ races taking the limelight after the little kindergarteners thrilled everyone with their energetic and spirited “The Grand Finale”. The winners were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and singing of the national anthem.
