A one-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) workshop on 'Gender Sensitivity in Schools', was held on the premises. The workshop, attended by 51 educators, highlighted the need to be more aware of the issues of the gender sensitive pedagogy, teaching learning materials and various issues of youth in relation to gender dysphoria. Jinny Talwar, Principal, Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Ludhiana, and Sandhya Dewan, Principal, Cambridge International School, Nakodar, were the resource persons. The participants learnt the stereotypes association with the genders in community and their social alienation. The session underlined the need for educators to be more aware, sensitive and receptive to the inclusion of children with diverse need in schools and community. The objective of the 'Gender Sensitive Pedagogy' session was to enable participants become gender sensitive teachers. Principal Dr Saksham Singh extended appreciation to the CBSE and resource persons for their valuable insights.
