The school inaugurated its two-day Annual Sports Meet, 2024-25. The Sports Day commenced with the ‘Tilak’ ceremony, followed by a welcome song and flag-hoisting ceremony in the presence of the chief guest Parul Gandhi, Nisha Jain, president of the School Managing Committee, Principal Sonali Sharma and Administrator Kavita Arya. Alumni members, Kirti Tiwetia, a gold, silver and bronze medallist at national level, university level and Khelo India in archery, and Himanshi Malik, a winner of gold and bronze medal in archery, were invited as special guests. The march past by the four houses was followed by the lighting of the torch. The solemn oath was administered by the Sports Captain Devanshi Nain. A plethora of cultural events kept the audience enthralled. The students participated in various track events such as 100m, 200m, 400m 800m, 1,500m and 3,000m races. Besides track events, they also participated in the various field events like long jump, discus throw, javelin throw, and shot put and showcased their exceptional speed and agility. Prizes for academic excellence were awarded to first, second and third position holders by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Cash prizes were also awarded to two members of support staff, Tribhuvan and Naveen, by the school management for their dedication and selfless service. Principal Sonali Sharma extended a heartfelt thanks to the members of the School Management Committee and motivated the students to make sports an integral part of their lives as they are essential for their overall growth and development.
