Chandigarh became All India Champions in the SGFI School National Games held in Hisar from December 5-9 this year. Karan Sheoran of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, Chandigarh, was adjudged Player of the Tournament, scoring 300 runs at an average of 100 runs and taking 11 wickets. He was the captain of the Chandigarh team Mukul Wadhwa and Abhimanyu Gill were declared the best bowlers of the tournament, taking 16 wickets each. In the final against Punjab, Tanuj Sharma score 70 runs while Rudra score 40 runs, while Mukul, Abhimanyu and Lakshya took 2 wickets each and finally, during the super over, Kartavy Jagdev gave Chandigarh the victory by hitting 6 runs on the last ball.
